AI Transparency & EU AI Act

01Purpose

This notice explains how artificial intelligence is used within Node Composer and provides transparency regarding the role of Node Composer, third-party AI providers and users.

02Node Composer’s Role

Node Composer is desktop software that orchestrates compatible third-party AI services. It is not itself an AI model, a foundation model or an inference service.

Node Composer does not:

• train models;
• host proprietary models;
• sell AI generation credits.

03AI Providers

Users connect supported providers, including WaveSpeed and Runware, using their own API credentials. Generation requests are processed by the selected provider according to that provider’s own terms, privacy policy and technical infrastructure.

04User Control

Users choose which AI provider to use, which models to access and which prompts or media to submit. Node Composer does not automatically select providers on behalf of users.

05Data Flow

Creative projects, prompts, generation history and media remain primarily on the user’s device. Where AI generation is requested, only the information required to perform that generation is transmitted to the selected provider.

06Transparency

Node Composer aims to clearly identify when users are interacting with AI-powered functionality. The software documents the role of third-party providers and the flow of information required for AI generation.

07User Responsibilities

Users remain responsible for the prompts they submit, the content they generate and the way AI-generated content is used, shared or published. Users are also responsible for complying with applicable contractual obligations imposed by third-party AI providers.

08EU AI Act

Where the European Union AI Act or other applicable legislation requires transparency regarding AI-generated or AI-assisted content, users remain responsible for complying with those obligations in the context in which they publish or distribute such content.

Node Composer provides tooling but does not determine the legal classification of user content.

09Human Oversight

Node Composer is intended as a creative assistance tool. Users remain in control of:

• creative decisions;
• prompts;
• provider selection;
• generation parameters;
• publication of outputs.

10Privacy

Node Composer follows a privacy-first, local-first architecture. It does not maintain a cloud repository of users’ creative projects. Details regarding personal data processing are described in the Privacy Policy.

11Changes

This notice may be updated to reflect changes in legislation, supported AI providers or software functionality.

01Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy defines the permitted and prohibited uses of Node Composer and complements the Terms & Conditions.

02Scope

This policy applies to all editions of Node Composer, including Starter Edition and Studio Edition, and to all supported third-party AI providers connected by users.

03Permitted Use

You may use Node Composer to design, manage and execute lawful AI-assisted creative workflows using AI provider accounts and API keys that you are authorized to use.

04User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• protecting your API keys;
• complying with the terms of third-party AI providers;
• respecting intellectual property rights;
• ensuring that your use of the software complies with applicable laws.

05Prohibited Uses

You must not:

• bypass licensing mechanisms;
• share or resell your subscription;
• attempt unauthorized access to systems;
• distribute malware;
• infringe intellectual property;
• use the software for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive activities;
• violate the terms of connected AI providers.

06AI Content

Node Composer does not review or moderate AI-generated outputs. Users are solely responsible for prompts submitted, generated content and any publication or commercial use of such content.

07Security

You must not interfere with the security, integrity or availability of Node Composer, its licensing infrastructure or connected services.

08Third-Party Services

Node Composer interoperates with external providers such as WaveSpeed and Runware. Availability, pricing, outputs and service policies are determined by those providers and remain outside Node Composer’s control.

09Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect the platform, investigate abuse, respond to legal requests or enforce our Terms & Conditions.

10Reporting Abuse

Suspected abuse, security vulnerabilities or misuse may be reported to info@node-composer.studio.

11Updates

This Acceptable Use Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the software, legal requirements or supported services.

This document identifies the third-party services used by Node Composer to operate the software, process subscriptions, provide backend functionality and enable AI-assisted workflows.

02Infrastructure Overview

Node Composer follows a local-first architecture. Creative projects, prompts and media remain primarily on the user’s device. Third-party providers are used only where necessary to deliver specific services.

Supabase is not used to host users’ creative projects or AI libraries.

05WaveSpeed, AI Provider

06Runware, AI Provider

07Website Hosting & Distribution

Used for website delivery, software download distribution and update feeds. Standard web server logs may be processed by the hosting provider in accordance with its own operational requirements.

08Secure Credential Storage

On supported operating systems, sensitive credentials such as API keys and license information are stored using secure operating-system credential storage — Apple Keychain on macOS — rather than on Node Composer servers.

09International Data Transfers

Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, those providers are responsible for implementing appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable data protection law.

10Data Processing Responsibilities

Each provider processes only the information necessary to deliver its own service. Users remain responsible for selecting AI providers and for complying with the contractual terms and privacy policies of those providers.

11Updates to this List

The list of third-party providers may change as the software evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the documentation published on this website.
